Wakey Wakey, Eggs and Bakey

Let’s get weird. Let’s talk about consciousness.

We’ve all heard the rumblings that reality isn’t as real as we thought… You’ll hear

simulation theory

“life is illusion”

quantum

“only brahmin is real”

seek ye first the kingdom of heaven

the world is a dream

The other day, Ally (4), was jumping on the passenger seat (we were parked in the driveway at home) and looked at me and said, ‘Mom! I think we’re DREAMING’. I don’t think she expected me to reply, ‘I think so too’.

But we’re also being nudged to wake up. To ‘raise our vibrations’. To become aware of and in control of, every last thought and to supplant the ego with its separation mentality with consciousness through will.

While you can be the light shining through the bedroom window, you can’t actually wake anyone else up. They have to open their own eyes.

When I was around 22 studying abroad in cape town, I had just read a passage in ‘Conversations with God’ saying something along the lines of ‘its time to wake up’. And it gave me such pause that i put the book down and went to take a walk. i walked past a homeless guy that I saw every day and normally at least said hi to, if not more of a chat, but i was lost in thought so i just kinda shook my head and said, sorry i can’t talk now. I got about a block away when he yelled down the street “HEY, WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO WAKE UP!”

When I was about 8, I remember looking up at the sky on a beautiful sunny day thinking, there has to be more than this.

Waking up isn’t instant. But it does start with a feeling that this isn’t…all there is.

My 6 year old told me when I wake her up in the morning, all I have to do is say, Wakey Wakey, Eggs and Bakey. So, Wakey Wakey, Eggs and Bakey.

That is all.
