Reading and Discernment

All of us are endowed with intuitive wisdom, but a disturbed mind blocks it’s flow.

“You shouldn’t read that book…”

There are many books that aren’t worth your time, depending on what your goals are. And there are many that have half truths, or the thing you need to hear, wrapped up in, nonsense. Discernment in reading is separating the written wheat from the chaff. It’s challenging to practice discernment with theories we can’t yet prove or disprove. Intuition provides guidance.

As you develop spiritual discernment, you’ll get a ‘gut feeling’ that something is off. And this is the most important sign. But it’s good to align your gut feeling with your mental processes as well. Nature follows law, so there will always be a rational explanation. Balance intellect with intuition. One way to do this, is to look at the concept presented, and project its effects. What would happen to my life, if I lived like this. What would happen to the lives of my loved ones? What if everyone did this? What kind of world would it create?

Another test is, does it give advice that violates Universal Law, and present it as a special exception (if it acknowledges the violation at all). This isn’t the same as a paradox.

Another test, does it appeal to your ego? Consider the parts of you that are being engaged and strengthened. This one took me a long time to figure out, because most (all??) marketing material falls in this category, so we’re fairly desensitized to it.

So, when I read about various unfamiliar, taboo, potentially “dangerous”, and possibly 100% untrue topics; Atlantis, the Pliedians, Aliens, the Seth Material, Starseeds, Tarot, religious texts, etc. I’m in the role of a seeker, looking for the Universal Truths. I mentioned religious texts, not because they’re dangerous, but because for many devout, they’re instructed not to read the texts of other religions. So, the point was I’m taking reading a religious text out of the taboo category. Sometimes truth is identified immediately, but sometimes it can take years to come to a real understanding of it. But, while you’re sitting with the materials, how do you know if it’s immediately ‘off track’? First that depends on where you want to go… but I’m assuming if you’re here, you’re of the love and light inclination.

Well, if the book is giving you causes, consider the effects. Will following this make me kinder, stronger, braver, more balanced, and more aligned with universal consciousness? Or will it create fear, selfishness, …as a quick test, you can insert any of the 7 deadly sins here… So I don’t judge ‘out there’ material because if someone is a kinder person, because the Pleidians told them to be, who am I to say they are wrong? Are we going to the 5D? I have no idea… but if it’s where the nice people go, then I want to be the kind of person that is allowed to go there.

Another test is too try to find a video or photo of the author. Do they look unhinged. It can be easy to miss in print, but obvious visually. There was channeled material that i heard on YouTube, read by a

So, obviously, I read some out there stuff, but I have limits. I think the only thing I won’t read, is the obviously left hand path material. And even with that, it’s just that the knowledge is used for dark purposes, I just don’t want to go where that path leads. Sometimes it’s obvious, many times it’s not, and that’s where I’ve learned, in retrospect, how to hone my skills of discernment.

Another signal is a feeling of confusion. Let me see if I can explain this. There’s “I don’t understand this yet”, but your head is clear. And there’s confusion - like in a video game, and a spell is cast on you. If you read something, and feel that, don’t try to figure it out. Probably just close that book.

As always, I’m not perfect, I’m just sharing some things I’ve learned along the way.
